Accessibility statement

Last updated 6 October 2026.

About this statement

Pekpinne is provided by RJ Tech & Ventures AB. This statement covers the website pekpinne.se and the app app.pekpinne.se, including the student view students open with a code. We want everyone to be able to use Pekpinne, whatever their abilities.

How accessible is Pekpinne?

Pekpinne is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 level AA, the basis of the European standard EN 301 549. Most things work, but there are known issues, listed below.

What works

Everything can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus. Widgets can be moved and resized with buttons, without dragging. Images can be given a description for screen readers. Text keeps good contrast in light and dark mode. Pages work at 400% zoom and on narrow screens, and motion is reduced if you have chosen that on your device.

Known issues

The drawing area relies on drawing with a mouse, finger or pen, and drawings have no text description. Changes that happen by themselves, such as a timer counting down or a new step in the lesson schedule, are not announced automatically by screen readers. We have not yet tested the whole service with screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver, and will do so during the pilot year. Signing in with Google or Microsoft follows their accessibility.

Content teachers create

Teachers are responsible for what they put on the board, for example describing images and writing clear instructions. Pekpinne helps with ready-made colours with good contrast and a field for image descriptions.

Reporting problems

Enforcement

Pekpinne is a private company, but Swedish schools and municipalities that use Pekpinne are covered by the Act on accessibility to digital public services, so we follow the same requirements. The Agency for Digital Government (Digg) enforces the act. If you use Pekpinne in a municipal school and are unhappy with how your feedback is handled, you can contact the school or report it to Digg.

How we tested

Automated axe tests for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 (A and AA) run on every page in light and dark mode with every change. We also checked keyboard navigation, focus, moving without dragging and display at 320 pixels wide by hand. The assessment was made by us in October 2026.
